So what should you talk about when introducing yourself?
You can talk about your character, their likes and intrests, their life. Where they lived in the past, how they got to the city. What their reaction was to events in the War, in the city's destruction, what they did after things started getting bad. (see "welcome" post for information on the story. you are welcome to extrapolate on it as much as you like, that's just a base story)
You can also talk about your interests as if they were your characters... your favorite movies, books, places to go, tv shows, internet sites, actors/actresses, family members, etc. You can put yourself into your character.
You can also talk about your characters job and what they are doing now for money. Get to know the other people and talk and see if they are trustworthy.
