All rules must be followed and will be enforced. Please familiarize yourself with them.
The Big Two Rules
A) You are not allowed to show "proof" of your status as a Spy, Citizen, or other special status in the game. This means you can NOT copy a conversation that you have with me in order to "prove" that you are a Citizen. You are not allowed to take screenshots to show that you are or aren't a Spy. Anyone who does this, real or a faked screenshot meant to deceive, will be immediately removed from the game. Remember that it is simple to fake conversations and screenshots.
B) You are not allowed to reveal your identity, private information, or ways of contacting you that aren't through accounts I provide. After you are eliminated, you must not attempt to talk with anyone still in the game. Identites will be revealed as soon as the game ends and you can talk after it's over. Do not try and influence the game in any way after you are eliminated, no matter how badly you want to tell Person Z about your Spy suspicions.
Nasty stuff, rules, but they are very important to have. This is just to painstakingly spell out all the rules that I follow strictly so if issues come up during the game I can just point here and not have to say anything.
RULES:
1. Votes to Exile a Spy are due Wednesday and Sunday nights before the LIVE announcement. You must vote before this deadline. You may vote any time after someone has been Imprisoned.
2. If you do not vote, it will be counted as three self-votes against yourself. (see penalties for idling) If you fail to vote a second time, it counts as six self-votes. A third time without voting and you will be removed via Exiling automatically.
3. If you do not communicate with your fellow players, participate in host created activities, respond to public questions asking during exiling, or write absolutely nothing in your confessional, I have the right to remove you at any time. I don't want to do this at all so keep up with things. Official procedures can be found in the Idling thread.
4. I think this goes without saying: but please do not threaten the host. Keep in mind I do all this work for your enjoyment and I have NO favorites and NO bias. If you don't believe me ask some people I really don't like that I have still hosted fairly over the years. I've hosted so many unbiased games I don't think this should be an issue. I will be as clear and fair as I can about all rules, deadlines, and decisions. If you have questions about anything, ask!
5. You are strongly encouraged to post all game-related conversations with other players in your confessional.
6. No matter how upset you are that you are about to be eliminated, no quitting!
7. You may change your vote as many times as you like up until the deadline. DO NOT DELETE/ERASE/MODIFY the vote you are changing! Simply post a reply to your voting thread indicating that you wish to change your vote, and that the previous vote shouldn't be counted. Provide a new vote with a new reason, as all votes must have reasons. You can't vote for yourself.
8. If the host asks you to keep something secret, KEEP IT SECRET. If you do not, you will be removed from the game, no questions asked.
9. When you are voted off, do not interfere with the game, either by releasing information to the players or attempting to influence how it goes. You are completely free to do this as much as you like up to the point where it is announced that you are eliminated from the game. Interfering after you have been eliminated makes the game enjoyable for nobody. Let the others finish it out.
10. Don't lie to the host.
Please read ALL the rules and be familiar with them!
Thanks.
