spies1Sage: i hope nobody feels like i am bitter towards them. the only person i'm truly upset with knows who they are - i hope people now realize that i am in fact a Citizen with simply a different strategy than the one other people had
spies1Marion: I know a lot of people, including myself, were a bit nervous about you when they heard about you wanting Damien gone so badly.
spies1Sage: it was not that i wanted him gone so badly. those who i talked to i voiced very openly that i thought an inactive person should be the one to go, and that i thought the most inactive person was Damien. those i talked to agreed with me - it wasn't that i was set on it being specifically Damien. however, i felt that since this was the first vote it was important to get rid of dead weight who was going to be of no support to us. and in doing so, we have narrowed down the list of potential suspects
spies1Marion: But don't you think getting rid of spies in more important than getting rid of inactives? lol
spies1Sage: lets say i kept my mouth closed. who could we have suspected? i do think that Spies from this point on need to be the primary target. however, since it was the first vote, i think that by eliminating dead weight and not specifically targetting a Spy, it does help give clues as to who is suspicious and who is not.
spies1Marion: I'm sure something may have turned up.
spies1Sage: for example, those who voted for Damien could now be considered suspicious because they voted out an inactive over someone suspicious. 3 of those votes for Damien could have been to keep me, Mr. Ideal Suspect - the Spies have, potentially, kept the heat off of them for a time to come.
spies1Sage: see, you say that...but how do you know? everyone was so hellbent on going with the majority and not stirring anything that it is equally plausible that nobody would have said anything about the vote
spies1Marion: I'm can't know for sure, but I honestly thinks it better than accusing someone out of the blue :: shrugs ::
spies1Sage: my goal for the first vote was not to just accuse anyone and hope for the best. i personally feel that this game is now on a beautiful track because we've allowed ourselves to see people in a different light; we now have reasons and potential suspects because of the way this vote went.

spies1Sage: that is, of course, possible. i'm sure people may suspect me. however, i think that people have yet to scratch the surface of a Spy mindset. if i were a Spy, why would i even dare to stick my neck out this far this early in the game? and, if i were a Spy, and i saw myself sticking my neck out this far...would i not try and keep me for as long as possible, and continually try and make me look more and more suspicious?

spies1Sage: another thought i just had - the Spies knew that either myself or Damien, both Citizens, would be going last night. so they had to pick which person they most wanted to stay: and i think if i were a Spy, i'd keep me too. i've taken a lot of heat off of the Spies - and from your perspective, i definitely agree that any person that voted to keep Damien is probably looking suspicious

Thank you for taking the time to copy/paste all those conversations and post them for me. They really keep me updated on how the game is actually going. You've certainly had an eventful first four days, it'll be interesting to see how the next four are for you. Thanks for being on AIM all the time (it can't be easy with the additional screenname) and for putting your all into the game. You are the kind of player that a host dreams of - it's your participation coupled with others' that really makes the game what it is.


Keep up the good job. I bet after the game everyone will be relieved they didn't get rid of their Psychic on the very first Exiling. They would have been throwing away a free round! Silly them haha.
